James Braddock

Biography

James Braddock knew he had a calling for music ever since he was a child, although in the later years he could hardly find the time to invest in this passion.

The business life and the everyday rush kept him from developing in this beloved field. Come 2010, everything changed once he decided to change his life in the direction of embracing what his soul desired. Marco Carola’s sound determined him to become entirely devoted to electronic music, thus leaving the business life somewhere in the background. To me, Marco is one of the world’s most complete DJs and the passion he puts in what he does has gotten me to pursuit my own dream,” says James Braddock.
Toghether with Carola, Braddock appreciates the DJs making music based on rhythmical sounds, such as Luciano, Nina Kravitz, Steve Lawler, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire or Ricardo Vilalobos.

His passion for music takes up around three or four hours a day. „I’m not doing it because I have to, but because I feel like doing it; it’s a peaceful isolation, a total relaxation, a happy feeling that sometimes takes hold of me even up to six hours without perceiving how time passes,” James explains. Everything for music seems to be his new motto, because the DJ expresses his mood and brings out his feelings through music. Everyone who’s in love with electronic music understand this way of being, this way of feeling.

James…His name was inspired by a film character. His friends were calling him Braddock jokingly, but eventually the DJ chose to turn this nickname into a stage name. After intense training in turnatablism under Jimmy D’Azzaro’s guidance, James turned out to actually be talented and skillful.
He shortly managed to catch the eye and ear of electronic music-oriented venues. At the beginning of 2011, he took by storm these venues, mixing in clubs such as Zambara. The autumn of 2011 found James on the island of continuous partying – Ibiza, where he took a big bite of the afterhours vibe, performing at several parties.

Releases…As any respected continuity-aspiring DJ would, James Braddock felt the need to play his own music and this is how he started working in the studio, as a producer. In the summer of 2013 he finished his first EP, consisting of threee tech house songs. Many other EP’s are to come in the future.
